Grit Tracking ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a habit tracking application available as a
web app and Chrome extension. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect
your information.
Privacy Commitment: We have updated our extension to minimize data access. We
no longer request browser history permissions and have removed all third-party analytics
tracking to ensure the highest level of user privacy.
Information We Collect
1. Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive:

- Display name - Used to personalize your experience
- Profile photo URL - Displayed in the app interface
2. Habit Data
Data you create within the app:

habits

Google Firebase - Secure authentication and database (Firestore)
These services have their own privacy policies. Your data stored in Firebase is subject to
Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
- Habit data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with industry-standard encryption
- Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
- We use granular security rules to ensure only you can access your own data
- Local data is stored in your browser's persistent storage when not signed in
Data Retention
- Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
- Archived activities are automatically deleted after 30 days
- You can request complete data deletion at any time
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access - View all data we store about you
- Export - Download your habit data at any time
- Delete - Request permanent deletion of your account and related data
- Opt-out - Disable email notifications in your profile settings
Chrome Web Store Compliance
This extension complies with the
Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including:
- Limited Use: We only use data for the primary purpose of habit tracking
- No sale of user data
- No use of data for advertising or tracking across sites
- Minimal permissions: We do not request access to your browsing history
Children's Privacy
Grit Tracking is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information
from children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant
